Returns Policy

Most new, unopened items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We’ll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result
of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You must have a return authorization number to qualify for a return:
Please call us at 1-866-553-0788 Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm EST to obtain a return authorization number and a return address.

All returns must meet the following conditions:

  • The item must be clean (no cracks, scratches, dirty or marked tires, etc.)
  • The item must be unused
  • The item must be in its original packaging
  • In addition, the item cannot be one of the “non-eligible returns” listed below.

Items NOT Eligible for Return

Due to health and hygienic regulations, we cannot accept the following items for return:

  • Hospital beds
  • Bathroom safety equipment (such as raised toilet seats, bath/shower transfer benches, grab bars, bathroom wheelchairs, tub bars, bath
  • lifts, commodes, etc.)
  • Oxygen tanks and regulators
  • Seat cushions and backs
  • Ultra lightweight ridged frame wheelchairs
  • Customer Wheelchairs
  • Court Wheelchairs
  • Sport Wheelchairs
  • Built to order items
  • Wound Care
  • Wheelchair scales
  • Incontinence products
  • Nutritionals
  • Opened packages or anything that cannot be resold as New.
  • Other items specifically marked as “non-returnable” in the item’s website description

In addition, we also cannot accept:

  • Return requests more than 30 days after delivery
  • Any item that has been modified or used
  • Any item not in its original packaging
  • Special orders
  • E-gift certificates

There is a 10% – 15% restocking fee on all:

  • Electric Wheelchairs
  • Electric Scooters
  • Wheelchair Cushions
  • Heavy duty wheelchairs
  • Volume sales
  • Lift recliner chairs
  • Adaptive strollers

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping Information

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its product page, additional information tab. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Free Standard Shipping

Standard ground shipping is FREE for all orders $50 and over in the continental United States. Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii are subject to additional shipping charges. Most orders ship via Federal Express or UPS and arrive on your doorstep within 5-10 business days.

* Delivery surcharges still apply to rural zip codes and to orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii.

Some items may take longer to arrive. They include:

Lift Recliner Chairs

Lift recliner chairs can take from 5 business days to 4 weeks to arrive depending on the model, fabric and options you have selected. Specific fabric choices that are "In Stock" are noted in the color selection area, and leave the warehouse within 5 business days. Any lift chair ordered with heat and/or massage options will take 3-4 weeks to arrive. Other custom chairs, such as heavy duty models, can also take from 3-4 weeks to arrive. Again, please call customer service for a specific delivery time. In most cases, we can check inventory to see if the specific model that you want is in stock. Lift recliner chairs are delivered via freight carrier. The freight carrier will call you to arrange a specific delivery time once the lift chair is at their facility in your area.

Power Wheelchairs

Most travel, folding and standard power wheelchairs leave the warehouse within 5-6 business days. Custom chairs with non-standard seat sizes or other custom options can take from 2-4 weeks to arrive, depending on the manufacturer. Travel power wheelchairs and folding power wheelchairs are delivered via UPS or Fedex, and do not require a signature. Full-size power wheelchairs are delivered via freight carrier. The freight carrier will call you to arrange a specific delivery time once the power wheelchair is at their facility in your area.

Scooters

Some Travel scooters can ship Fedex, or UPS, and will usually arrive in 5-6 business days. Larger travel scooters will arrive within 6-10 business days via freight carrier. Most medium to full-sized Pride Mobility or Drive Medical scooters are delivered within 6-10 business days. The selection of some accessories on full-sized Pride Scooters, such as special seating sizes, flat-free tires, lighting packages, or turn signal packages, are considered custom orders and will take from 1-3 weeks to leave the warehouse. All medium or full size scooters are delivered via freight carrier. The freight carrier will call you to arrange a specific delivery time once the scooter is at their facility in your area.

Some items require freight delivery. They include:

Large scooters, lift recliner chairs, power wheelchairs (other than travel and folding power chairs), scooter and wheelchair lifts, patient lifts, beds, standing frames, stair lifts, pool lifts, and some non-folding wheelchairs will arrive via a freight company in 5-9 business days from when they leave the manufacturer. The freight company will contact you when the item has arrived at the freight facility in your area to schedule a specific delivery time convenient for you.

White Glove Delivery

With White Glove Delivery, a premium delivery option available on some items, your new product is delivered into your home at a time that you schedule, set up and tested in the place you request and all packaging materials are removed.

White Glove Delivery is perfect for people who prefer additional assistance in the delivery of their new lift recliner chair, scooter or power wheelchair. Rainbow Medical Supply  strongly suggests White Glove Delivery for people purchasing products to be delivered to out-of-town family members or friends who may need assistance getting their product into their home, unpacked and set up.

White Glove Delivery Details

Here is what you can expect with White Glove Delivery:

  1. Your product will be shipped from the manufacturer to a local agent in your area.
  2. The agent will inspect the product to ensure it has arrived in perfect condition and functions properly.
  3. The agent will contact you to schedule a deliver time for your item.
  4. At the designated delivery time, the agent will:
    • bring your new mobility product into your home
    • unpack it completely
    • set it up where you request
    • test it to ensure that everything is functioning properly
    • remove any packaging materials

White Glove Delivery Cost

The cost for White Glove Delivery varies and is clearly listed on each product page.

Please note: White Glove Delivery generally adds 5-7 days to the total delivery time of your item. This time may be extended further or unavailable in certain remote and rural areas.
